Feeling better!

Well, now I feel silly! I posted one comment that I thought no one would read and I got a phone call and an e-mail in response. I guess I shouldn't feel quite so sorry for myself. ;-)

I just got an e-mail from my mom, so things might be better than I thought. I hadn't heard from her for three weeks so I thought I wouldn't be hearing from her.... Still a long story, but we'll leave it at that.

I'm feeling pretty optimistic right now. It's nice to be reminded that you have good friends, once in a while. I remember before I went away to college getting a blessing that said I would make life-long friends while I was away from home, and I guess it was true. You know what? All of a sudden I feel like I should read my patriarchal blessing again. Isn't that funny?

It's pretty exciting to find out that one of my friends is having a baby in July too, especially since she had one just a month after I had my first. It would be fun if we could ever all get together and watch all the kids. Maybe one day when we're all a little more established (or at least when we O'Neils are) we could plan on it. Not long now! Jacob only has a year left of school. He worries a lot, but he is doing incredibly well and even though it sometimes seems to drag, it really has flown by. By the time he is done next year he will have finished a Bachelor's degree in three and a half years. That's quite an accomplishment. I was on the five-year-plan, myself. And I didn't go to one of the hardest nursing schools in the country, while trying to single-handedly support a family and take care of a major fixer-upper house, doing all the work myself. He really amazes me.

Funny. I came online to look for an alternative to alfredo sauce that uses milk instead of cream. I just had to check and see if anyone had written anything, considering the e-mail/phone response I got. Thanks, guys!

I looked for an alfredo recipe without cream. Couldn't find one.

Oh, well. I guess I'll just have to make it up. I'll just thicken it with a little flour, like a thin white sauce. I'm sure I'll think of something. Thanks for looking, though!
